PARAPSYCHOLOGY - Literally beyond psychology. The study of apparent new means of communication, or interaction, between organisms and their environment (commonly referred to as psi, or psychic ability), beyond those presently understood by the scientific community.
CLAIRVOYANCE - The ability to see beyond the range of ordinary perception; beyond the senses.
CLAIRALIENCE or CLAIROLEOFACTOR(smelling)
- To have an extraordinary sense of smell, as if you could smell flowers before they bloom or smell trouble before it occurs or death before it happens.
CLAIRAUDIENCE (hearing/listening)
Essentially the ability to hear in a paranormal manner. Clairaudience may refer not to actual perception of sound, but may instead indicate impressions of the "inner mental ear" similar to the way many people think words without having auditory impressions. But it may also refer to actual perception of sounds such as voices, tones, or noises which are not apparent to other humans or to recording equipment.
CLAIRCOGNIZANCE (knowing)
A form of ESP wherein a person acquires psychic knowledge primarily by means of intrinsic knowledge.
CLAIRGUSTANCE (tasting)
In the field of parapsychology, defined as a form of ESP that allows one to taste that which comes through the spirit world.
CLAIRSENTIENCE (feeling/touching)
In the field of parapsychology, clairsentience is a form of ESP wherein a person acquires psychic knowledge primarily by means of feeling.] In addition to parapsychology, the term also plays a role in some religions. For example: clairsentience is one of the six human special functions mentioned or recorded in Buddhism. It is an ability that can be obtained at advanced meditation level. Generally the term refers to a person who can feel the vibration of other people. There are many different degrees of clairsentience ranging from the perception of diseases of other people to the thoughts or emotions of others. The ability differs from third eye in that this kind of ability can not have a vivid picture in the mind. Instead, a very vivid feeling can form.
PSYCHOMETRY (to measure)
Related to clairsentience. The word stems from psyche and metric, which means "to measure with the mind".
PARANORMAL is an umbrella term used to describe a wide variety of reported anomalous phenomena. According to the Journal of Parapsychology, the term paranormal describes "any phenomenon that in one or more respects exceeds the limits of what is deemed physically possible according to current scientific assumptions." Paranormal describes subjects studied under parapsychology, which deals with psychic reported phenomena like telepathy, extra-sensory perception, psychokinesis, and post-mortem survival studies like reincarnation, ghosts, and hauntings. However, as a broader category, the paranormal sometimes describes subjects outside the scope of parapsychology, including anomalous aspects of UFOs, some creatures that fall under the scope of cryptozoology, and many other non-psychical subjects.
ETHERIC BODY - The first of the levels of being beyond the physical body is the formative-field body or what the Theosophists call the "Etheric" body.
ASTRAL BODY - complete separation of the astral body from the physical body, and being in that state which is highest above earth or from the body. See Astral Projection.
POLTERGEIST - (German, from Poltern = to knock + Geist = spirit) A noisy usually mischievous ghost held to be responsible for unexplained noises (as rappings)
DOPPLEGANGER - This term comes from the German expression meaning "double walker", the human double, or the astral body. The doppelganger may be projected in an out of body experience OBE), or appear as another person in an apparition (AGH).
RESIDUAL HAUNTING - A replayed haunting in which no intelligent ghost, spirit, or other entity is directly involved. Residual hauntings are playbacks of auditory, visual, olfactory, and other sensory phenomenon which are attributed to a traumatic event, life-altering event, or a common event of a person or place. Theory is that residual hauntings are the result of discharged personal energy of a person or group of people being imprinted on the surrounding environment, most commonly at or just after death.

"THE SIXTH SENSE"
THE PURPOSE OF MY WORK ~ "The Sixth Sense" is a very meaningful movie to me. It reminds me of what I experienced as a young child. I would spend years studying and trying to find the reason why I see what I see, and others do not. Eventually, I learned that I could pass on important messages from the deceased to those loved ones left behind. As a widow, I understand first hand how it feels to not have closure. I try to comfort those in need, or even help the spirits move on to where they should be--on the other side.
