Argentine Tango takes up a good part of my life... I do other things, too... really! Tango is exciting, fun, and not just something you can do in every major city of the world (whether it's New York, Paris, Rome, Buenos Aires, Hanoi, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, Portland or Denver), it's something unbelievably wonderful that lasts the rest of your life. Admittedly, it's not an easy dance to learn: it takes devotion, patience and a sincere effort. But hey, you get better just by dancing! How bad is that? Here is a clip of Geraldine Rojas when she was 13 (October 1993) -- I wish I'd started tango when I was 7... instead, I was dancing ballet (and too tall for it!).

Music
Sappy... find Sinatra et al on the AM dial and that's what I like... just went to Federico Aubele's concert here in Denver... amazing... Argentine Tango music (the traditional and nuevo). HERE'S ANOTHER CLIP OF GERALDINE AND JAVIER -- TRADITIONAL TANGO.
Movies
Smart, funny, stupid, irreverent: Casino Royale, Y tu Mama Tambien, Syriano, Munich, SouthPark, KingPin, The Jerk, Dr. Zhivago, Sound of Music, Angel in my Pocket (remember that old movie?)HERE'S A CLIP OF PABLO VERON (from THE TANGO LESSON movie fame) FROM THE CLOSING CREDITS OF ROBERT DUVALL'S MOVIE, Assassination Tango.
Television
Don't own TV but manage to catch my favorites on-line: Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies. Hey... also don't own a microwave or stereo... I go out a lot!
Books
Tom Robbins. Used to read 40 books a year... now I read financial stuff for work but not for fun and try to tango dance 6 nights a week... not much time for reading... LOVE the WestWord, btw... THE source for Denver nightlife!
Heroes
You are my hero if you sincerely work at being a part of someone's life instead of just focusing on what you can take. Passionate people excited to share themselves... if you teach (anything) you are a hero. Jason (one of my friends) is my hero because he helped me recover a lot of my page... thanks, Jason... hugs and kisses!

About me: I'm pretty basic: female. Work in progress. Happy. Funny. Great tango dancer. All around great gal... but you have to be on your toes to appreciate it! I'm pretty passionate about tango!
HERE'S A CLIP OF ME TANGO DANCING AT CHEESMAN PARK FROM THIS PAST MAY 2007 where I am the "accidental hostess" of a Saturday night FlashMob TangoRilla Milonga... (Check out www.myspace.com/tangorilla for more info).
Who I'd like to meet: I enjoy having friends that challenge me and are passionate and thankful to be alive. I especially like folks that are willing to walk improvisationally (that would be tango dancing). I'm a romantic at heart. I'm a very loyal friend and like my friends to look out for their's, too. People that are a "reflection" of me but slightly tweaked -- a refraction; that's probably a good description of my current friends. No drug users. No smokers. No alcoholics. No mental nut cases. No unemployed / miserably employed guys. My friends forbid me from hanging around people with those "issues". I just may be one of the best friends you'll ever have. I promise I won't EVER be considered the worst. HERE ARE GERALDINE ROJAS AND JAVIER RODRIGUEZ PERFORMING MY FAVORITE TANGO DANCE -- THE MILONGA.
Thanks for the add. And thank you for supporting the art of Tango dancing! Colorado state Salsa championships are April 12th at the Turnverein. I hope you can make it.
