I love to travel, hang out with my friends, spend time with my husband and my son, scrapbook as much as possible. I pretty much just enjoying having a good time and being around people I care about.
Music
I LOVE KENNY CHESNEY, BRAD PAISLEY, and JOSH TURNER, pretty much anything country, John Melloncamp, some pop, some rock... I dunno too much to list
Books
I typically like rereading books I've already read. Some of my favorites are Wicked, The Giver, The Notebook.
Heroes
My husband Jerry. We have been threw so much together. He is my biggest supporter. Threw thick and thin he has always looked out for me. He spends his days working to keep our nation safe. And that takes a very special person. If he could, he would give me the world. He is my best friend, and I am so proud of who he is, and the amazing man he has become. Like I always say "Who needs a knight in shining armor. I'd rather have a soldier in dirty combat boots."
My second hero is my daddy. He spent the majority of my childhood in the army. We moved around so many times, and whenever it came time to move, he always made our new home feel like it was home. He protects his family, and loves his wife. In a time when it seems that marriages don't last, he still spends his time treating my mom like a queen.
Finally my third hero is my mother. She is the most incredible woman in the world. She has stood beside my father threw moves and deployments. She truly is one of my best friends. She has always been there whenever I needed her. She has been my biggest fan and supporter. She believes in me no matter what. She accomplishes anything she sets her mind to. I just hope I can be half the wife, and mother she has been. I miss her terribly.

Hey ya'll, it's Karen. I'm 22 and I live in Tennessee. However, I am originally from Indiana and Michigan. I just married the man of my dreams. He is my best friend in the whole world. He is a soldier in the army and I am so proud of the things he does for this country. All I can say is that I love a man in uniform. In March of '07 I moved to Tennessee to finally live with my husband and our two fur-babies. We just had our first child. He is the most incredible thing that has ever happened to me.
I am coaching cheerleading at the high school on post. It is nice to work someplacde that isn't high stress all the time.
I'm still in of college and hating every second of it. I am so tired of school. I wish I could just stop, but I know that's not an option. I am hoping to eventually get a degree in business. I wasted a lot of time in school and I hate that, but I'm finally in a good place to do good things with my life. Right now I'm working towards a degree in Medical Office Technology. I am gonna work until I am finacially stable enough to open my own gym. That has been my number one life goal since I was a kid. I've seen how good gyms work and how bad gyms work and I can't wait to open a gym and run it the way I'd like.
Let's see what else. I have two dogs and two cats. One of the dogs was a wedding present. She is a German Shepard/Beagle mix and is almost two years old. The other is a three year old Yellow Lab. She was a gift to myself to help me make it threw my husband's first deployment. We adopted two cats on the same day. One is a male kitten and the other it s four year old male. I treat my pets like my children. They keep me sane when I'm stuck in the house all day.
During my husband's first deployment I took up scrapbooking. I love organizing pictures to put together a little story. I have even started a scrapbook for my son. Now that I have some more free time I'm hoping to get lots of scrapbooking done in time for Christmas. I am also trying to learn how to cook. I love looking for new recipes in hopes that I'll find something I can make well. I do have to say I make a pretty mean steak! I like reconnecting with old friends and meeting new people. If you're another army wife, let me know because I'd love to talk. I don't know what else to tell about me. If you want to know just ask!
