Charlie Haden and Jason Scheff for showing me the way in both music and other aspects of my life. I'm fortunate to have met both of them, and their influence is profound. My late Uncle Dean for inspiring me to live a healthy, responsible, productive life, my parents (they really are right about a lot of stuff, as much as you hate to admit it), Eddie Pendry (my first bass teacher) and my best friend Charlie.

Welcome! I'm a professional bassist, mainly an acoustic/jazz player, but I play most any style. I grew up here in the South near North Wilkesboro, NC, and have lived in Asheville since 1999. I went to UNC-Asheville for Music/Jazz Studies and Multimedia Arts And Sciences and have worked as a professional musician since 2002. I am engaged to a wonderful woman named Rachel, and am fortunate to have a lot of special folks in my life, both personally and professionally. Please explore the site and learn more about my music and about ME. Cheers!
I am available for studio/session/live work here in the Southeast and surrounding areas. Contact me here on MySpace, or at my main music website HERE...
Who I'd like to meet: musicians, old friends, new friends, double bassists, fans of indy car & formula one racing, lakland basses, fans of free jazz, anyone who remotely shares interest in the same things i do...

Thanks for the encouragement you guys and I know I'm not starting from scratch. For all the reasons you spelled out, that's exactly how I feel. I love the idea of finding whatever it is we can do in spite of the limitations. How about Kelli in the first challenge... Starting off great and then getting bedridden. She maintained the nutrition.
And congrats Bryan to deal with your situation. Actually, the part I was talking about starting over was a good feeling. It reminded me of when I started in my hotel room back in the summer of '07. It's a goo feeling. It's a feeling if headed forward. In my way. It'll be fun to track the progress with you all, or should I say y'all!
A whole forum dedicated to KILTS!! How cool is that?! Thanks for the link! I like the thread about the pink colored kilt :P
and LOVE the picture with your kilt! Does your family have its own tartan? I'm not very good at picking out the different clans. Even ours is a "district clan" and the colors vary slightly from each manufacturer. We were over in Scotland in 2003 and had to have our tartan special made. 2 years later we go to the local Highland Games and our tartan is EVERYWHERE! lol Oh, the irony.
Hey there! we got you save teh date card in the mail last week, as of right now I am off and able to come, our schedule is going to change next fall so hopefully I still have the weekend off! Anytime you and Rachel want to come up and visit DC let us know you can stay at our place!
Hey Bryan! It is always great to meet other young Chicago fans! I remember you from Jason's ustreams. I love the video you have up from the Today Show. I hope things are well for you as well. Take care, Rachel
call and make an appointment. Would love to see you. Sorry we didnt make to your show. It was crazy raining outside and I had a long day at work. Talk soon? Happy Birthday!
