Good movies succeed in allowing the viewer to escape from reality momentarily while providing long lasting introspection and contemplation. I like any movie that makes me think, laugh or feel a little better about life when the credits roll. Some of my favorites are the Star Wars movies, Lord of the Rings, Matrix, 5th Element, Reality Bites, Fight Club, Brother Where Art Thou, anything directed by David Lynch, Kieslowski's Red, White and Blue trilogy, Over the Hedge, The Big Lebowski, Forest Gump, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Citizen Cane, The Graduate, The Big Chill, Grand Canyon, Annie Hall, the Golden Compass and all the Harry Potter movies just to name a few.

I enjoy the classics, anything regarding eastern philosophy, many western philosophers and political writers and I love mystery and sci fi books. My favorite is Sidhartha by Hermann Hesse. I also enjoy the Harry Potter books, Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, Camus, Hunter S. Thompson and anything written by the Beat writers.
Heroes
The Dali Lama, Buddha, Ghandi, Anne Frank, Che, Jimmy Carter, Martin Luther King Jr, John Lennon, Joan Erickson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Warren Buffet, Shunryu Suzuki, John Stewart Mills, Leonardo DaVinci and the native american people.

About me: Please check out my travel blog at www.traveljedi.blogspot.com I enjoy writing poetry, stories and essays. I believe in the power of music, thought, revolution, idealism, altruism and that when the poor can afford to pay for a lobbyist then all will be fair in the world. I wish to meet people who are idealists, dreamers, people who want to make the world better and have the inspiration to motivate others.
Who I'd like to meet: I want to meet the mind that startles me.
