Lux Incerta is a latin expression from the Middle Ages designating twilight.
It symbolises the ultimate moment when light is about to loose its fight against darkness.
Lux Incerta is born from the ashes of Synoptia in September 2000 when Agone (vocals - bass guitar) decided to create a new project. The band started to write songs inspired by gothic literature. Its influences mainly come from doom and gothic music with bands such as My Dying Bride, Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, Katatonia or Anathema.
In march 2003, Lux Incerta recorded a 3 tracks EP with J.J. Moréac (Misanthrope). The line up changed few months later with the arrival of Alexis (drums) and Eowyn (guitars).
The band decided to stop just after opening for My Dying Bride at "La Locomotive" (Paris) in April 2007, due to the activity of others projects beside Lux Incerta (The Old Dead Tree, Penumbra, AlyssS, Dark Sanctuary and The Last Embrace).
Since beginning of 2009, Lux Incerta, for present and future, will be a two members project. New compositions are already more dark and extreme than before...

c'est tout à fait normal, et j'ai émis des critiques mélioratives, sur la démo, que j'ai pu écouter récemment, ainsi que du dernier opus de PENUMBRA... Le plus dur c'est de se procurer les paroles, donc... je fais souvent à l'oreille...
