"Lux Lisbon write epic indie-rock songs taking their cues from the likes of Arcade Fire, The Killers and U2. Bittersweet love stories are set to soaring melodies and boy/girl harmony layered on piano, violin and spiky guitars.
They are :- Stuart Rook (vocal/piano), Charlotte Austen (vocal/guitar), Chris How Kin Sang (guitar), Ellie Garlick (violin), Alastair Jones (bass) and Joe Yoshida (drums).
Since meeting at Nottingham University and winning the University Battle of the Bands in their final gig as students, Lux Lisbon have graduated, put careers on hold and relocated en masse to focus on progressing the band in London, securing a permanent practice room under Clapham Junction Station.
They have had their latest independently released single 'Animals' played on BBC 6 Music by Tom Robinson and have secured headline gigs at The Fly, The Metro Club, Dublin Castle, Bull and Gate, and Monto Water Rats, as well as playing at venues such as the Bodega Social, Rescue Rooms, and Stealth in Nottingham.
Lux have also enjoyed 4 separate number one 'hits' on established music blog/chart www.thesixtyone.com where their songs have struck a chord over and above many signed and established acts"

Heard your intro and thought it was iPony (my sons band), would love to see you but live at Lands End Cornwall. iPony played The Earl of Camden last month so may be up that way again soon - I'll keep an eye on your gig list.

Hey there Lux Lisbon, that is a nice vid indeed, and a heaps good song! Fairly soon we are going into the studio to record a couple of new tracks, (the ones on the myspace are fairly old now) so keep a lookout, coz i think you guys would like them!
Liking the piano btw, we are trying to get some piano in our sound in the future. For that epic rock sound lol!

Fantastic song! And great video. I love all the different instruments playing. Question: Is the name "Lux Lisbon" taken from the novel "The Virgin Suicides?" if so, that's amazing!
