"Dan Goldman is a songwriter based in Toronto, and his latest project is a group of unusual, tuneful, elegantly textured songs about sharks, boulders, frozen lakes, clay portraits, and the emotions they evoke and reflect. With accompaniments that include gorgeous string quartet arrangements by Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy), the sound-world of Goldman's songs is lush and fresh. "Luxury Pond" hasn't been released yet, and host David Garland offers you your first chance to hear this delectably original album."
In spring of 2004 Dan released Through A Revolution, which features Mia Sheard, Justin Haynes and Owen Pallett, among a slew of others. In this collage-based production, underwater imagery floats to the surface aided by phased drum loops, while garbled radio signals and sampled clarinets recreate the urban soundtrack of the Montreal subway system. Some songs are postcards from childhood, while others recount the litigations of love in a hushed and patient way.
"Combining avant-garde sound collage with the melodies and emotional forthrightness of pop, Dan Goldman's Through A Revolution is one of 2004's most intriguing Canadian albums. "

Thanks a lot we appreciate it. I have been discovering all this amazing Canadian music this week through Myspace of all places and more importantly right here at home in Toronto. Well you fit into that amazing category. I will be keeping an eye on what you're up to.
Nice! Another project! You are a busy man! It's actually 'the teeth and the air', but close! Your guess actually actually sounds awesome on its own. This sounds great Dan! I hope to do a show with you guys some time v
New Music! I'm so excited! How do I get it? I'll play it on my show! Like Crazy. It sounds so good. I just talked to Jordy again. Good fella. I'm so happy for you, Mr. Dan. And Snowblink. Sweet. Fantastic. Let me know if you are ever coming through MB. I hope to make it out east next year. When I'm done. With my next project. I will soon only be known as "Day". Sounds somewhere between Brit-pop, Alt-country, Shoegaze, and Scott Walker. Luxury Pond = Fantastic. I'll spread the word. Far. Blessings...
Hi Dan, Sincerly, I'm impressed! Boulders catch me the first time I heard it and bring me in her own universe (and that's what I'm looking for in music). Again, you have a great sense of melody. Also, I love the arrangements so much. Hope to hear more in not too long. Etienne.
