Music selector with a distinct touch, Federico capability of keeping together people of so different backgrounds is enjoyable as sipping a rum punch under a palm tree.
Italian born Federico Luglio arrived in the beautiful island of Antigua in the summer of 2000. Since then he has continued to provide the latest and best music on the Caribbean island.
Being resident Dj at the Abracadabra club allows him to develop a unique style combining different music genres in one simultaneous session.
As selector he has played for Playboy Greece, Valencia Superyacht Marina, Soul 2 Soul's Back 2 Life Festival, Giorgio Armani, Ministry of Sound and many more.
During his travels around the globe played selections in Thailand (Mint Bar, Koh Samui), Portugal (Peter's, Ilha do Faial), Greece (Taj Mahal, Rhodes), Uk (Pressure Radio, London), Mexico (La Santanera, Playa del Carmen), Venezuela (Los Roques) and Italy (Firenze, Stazione Leopolda), (Flyaway, Napoli).
Got also the chance to spin next to Norman Jay (Good Times Sound System), Dj Rocco (Rodamaal), Dj Ravin (Buddha Bar), Alan Russell (Black Vinyl), Nigel G (Pacha Ibiza), Dj Spenny (London uk), Dom Chung (Ministry of Sound).
At the same time degree in Scienze della Comunicazione with a final work on “Sampling and Cut & Paste in Popular music”.
Within the years something has changed. Being in contact with the rastafarian movement and esoteric studies brought the project further, seeing at the beginning of the tenth year of Luyo Sound the chance to change in a more conscious way.
This new direction is expressed by playing a conscious reggae music selection, giving great attention to the lyrics and the message.
The newest addition to Luyo Sound System is the Vj set, a video mix that adds an additional visual entertainment element. Federico has been Vjing for Ministry of Sound too!
