The Las Vegas Classic Jazz Band 'The Swingingest Band in the Land' Performs Every Monday-Friday 1:00pm ~ 6:40pm at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV.
Those familiar with Las Vegas -- and Gold Coast Hotel -- lore, are more than familiar with the world class jazz bands that have appeared at the hotel since 1987, and have continued to be among the city's and the country's most popular musical attractions.
First was the fondly remembered Sorta Dixie Jazz Band, then the Kinda Dixie Jazz Band, then the Royal Dixie Jazz Band. Now the latest and most exciting incarnation is The Las Vegas Classic Jazz Band. This new combination, which features the best of the bandsmen of previous groups, promises to be the greatest yet.
The Las Vegas Classic Jazz Band will continue the Las Vegas "lounge tradition" of fun, excitement, surprises and great traditional jazz, but also intends to broaden its musical scope, to reach out to audiences of all ages. A musical label for all this? Call it "traditionally contemporary," if you will.

We are going to be hosting a battle of the bands. The winner will be determined by how many fans you bring. We are not competing in the battle we are just hosting it. We want to find out who the best bands in Las Vegas are. The winner gets 5000$, a three song demo that will be distributed on the internet and a 70/30 split on all tickets sold. There will also be a second and third prize winner. And it is an all ages show !!!! Our goal is to build the Las Vegas band scene to where we are all doing what we love and actually getting paid for the effort. The battle will begin in september. Entry deadline is July 8th so we can start all of the radio and internet promotions and make the flyers for all the bands that sign up. Also all bands will be put on a compalation Cd through vegas disc that will be distributed to over 200 radio stations across the US.
