Since the early age of 8 years old, Lydia knew that she wanted to sing. She studied voice, piano, clarinet and played percussion in elementary and High School. She then focused more on her vocal training once she entered college. She performed in several musical theater productions and college singing competitions. Originally from Battle Creek, Mi, Lydia relocated herself to the Boston area in 1999 to pursue her dream further.
Lydia has had the honor to perform with so many different types of bands and projects. Hyptonic, Kemp Harris, Doob, The Buck Dewey Big Band, The Fade Outs, Plank, and No Static (a Steely Dan tribute) are naming only such a small amount of the great projects she has been a part of. This year, in June of 2007, Lydia had the tremendous honor of singing with the Boston Pops as part of their Popsearch 2007 Competition. She made it to the finals (the Top 3) of that competition. Lydia says that event was a huge turning point of her singing career. She says that she will never be the same after singing with such a beautiful orchestra.
When Lydia is not busy singing, she is busy taking care of her son she gave birth to in November, 2006. She is so glad to have made her singing dream come true but, to her, the real accomplishment was the birth of her baby boy!
LYDIA's projects include Doob which is what you are listening to on this page, Hyptonic (you can purchase Hyptonic songs at the store below), No Static (playing the music of Steely Dan), and soon will be recording her very 1st solo jazz recording. She also has some great sound files on Penny Nation.

That is great! I am so glad you finally got your DVD. It is great to have this as our collection of music stuff. I was also so excited to view my last performance since it never posted on youtube.
