I am interested in raising my two children to be caring, responsible, respectful adults. Ideally, I want my kids to become adults that not only just "live" in the world, but contribute to making it a better place. Aside from that, my interests include keeping up on current events, listening to talk radio, listening to good music, hanging with good friends, running, verbal debating (I'm a little too good at this one sometimes), keeping myself grounded in this crazy ass world of ours and until November, making sure McCain gets elected.

My music tastes are off the charts when it comes to diversity. If it's got a good rhythm, if it has engaging lyrics, if it makes me shake my ass, if it reminds me of a time in my life, if it takes me to another place, if it makes me laugh or cry, or if it makes me aggressive then there's a good chance that I'll like it. I love to listen to truly good musicians of all types. I also dig music with saxophone or any type of horns. Almost any song I listen to will usually bring back memories of some time in my life. Music is a huge part of my life.

Movies
I don't really like to watch movies. Everyone thinks I'm insane. I get it, that movies are an escape and there are some really, really good movies with unbelievable special effects and creative stuff from artistic people, but I feel like it's wasting 3 hours of my time that I could be living my own life to the fullest instead of watching someone else live theirs. I still see movies sometimes, because other people suggest it, and there are a few that were very tolerable like Little Miss Sunshine, and Juno.
I love Project Runway. I have watched every season since it started. It has me hooked. The Shield is another great show that will have you hooked after one episode. Other than that, I may occasionally turn on Fox News, and once in a while, I'll tune in to E! for a few minutes. Overall, I generally don't have the time or desire to watch too much television.
Books
Patricia Cornwell, Kahlil Gibran, Mitch Albom, Webster, Roget, anything philosophical, news media, local magazines, blogs, etc, etc. I love it all.

I have two kids...a 5yo girl and a 3yo boy that are the most amazing human beings on the planet. I'm a licensed Civil Engineer with a passion for pipelines. I also work for CBS Radio doing a local talk radio show on AM 840 KXNT called "Jodi & Friends." I am highly intuitive, have learned to trust my gut reaction to things and/or situations, drive way too fast because I'm usually late, like it when people smell like soap, use the word "Random" an inappropriate amount, am fanatical about good spelling and/or grammar, and I won't date anyone shorter than me.
