LVX, pronounced LUX, meaning "Light" in Latin. The Greek letters are based on sacred geometry, hence the spelling of our Collective...
LVX Collective is a collaborative effort of talented and diverse musicians. David Harrow, with over 20 years professional experience in the biz, has toured and created music from punk, to dub reggae, to electronica and techno. He's worked with greats like Lee "Scratch" Perry and has a thousand-and-one aliases! zen r.el.z.m., the emcee and resident soothsayer, has been part of the bubbling Los Angeles underground Hip-Hop scene for over 20 years himself, starting with DJing, b-boying, writing rhymes and freestyling in the '80s. He walked in the shadows honing his skills, battling, and soaking up experience several years before finally making his official debut ..-Kool & Rhettmatic's Kosmonautz album, released in 1995; a member of the Visionaries Crew, and one-half of the Hip-Hop duo, Writer's Block. David & zen's combined energy was the catalyst to the LVX Collective project. Their chemistry on previous James Hardway (a Dave alias) works, Sounds From Under the Freeway was undeniable. After mixing and mastering Writer's Block's last album, Next Stop, The LVX Collective project was an inevitable road that needed to be traveled. They, along with Dannu of Visionaries and Writer's Block fame, the beautiful and lofty presence of the Goddess Azul, the gutteral vocals of the LAUSD emcee & dancehall artist, Jah C, and the effectual bass riffs of Greg Reeves made their first collective effort a well-rounded synergy.
