Thanks and Please Let There Be Love & Peace, At Least for a While...

(Joe Chalat going nowhere, and by this I mean "traffic jam")

"I work alone" is an answer to a question "Did you work on all these songs by yourself?". It is not that I hate others to work with me; instead, I have no one to work with. I might have someone to do that; but it seems like this time of year is not the time we will meet. This is how it begins...

I'm an 20-year-old kid; so I do not have much of my life to talk about. I listen to music; and have composed a few songs, obviously ^_^. I do not need everyone in this world to like my music; but what I want is just for them to be open with art and not deny the difference. I think so many people in this world are still fooled by TV and radio channels that keep brainwashing people to like pop music. I am not saying that pop music is bad; but sometimes people are so damn blind that they ignore different kinds of music, which is, I think, unfair. Artists should be successful by skills, not marketing. I am not saying I am skillful either.

One of my lifetime goals is to find bridges that link mass entertainment to other kinds of entertainment; so that people can cross them back and forth. I would like to look at "I work alone" as stopping by a restaurant to get some food while I am on my way to find those bridges.

Be open. Do not deny. Learn to appreciate different kinds of art. Do not let mass media decide.

My update on myspace appears to be evoking some emotions within you, which i respect and admire--please take into account that my update is only a simplified version regarding the political upheaval as a whole, and is aimed at all the protesters in a generalized manner. It is true we don't see any yellows committing absurd acts of defiance and anger towards our motherland, but without doubt, they too have also instigated the problems we are unfortunately facing for the meantime.

I favor no side--nor do i say that i am a yellow or a red--and believe these protests are worsening the economic downturn Thailand is presently struggling to get out of, as well as hindering and scarring our reputation as a democratic nation. This debacle between opposing political views and agendas has manifested itself into a fickle and never ending process. Not everyone can get their way, not everyone will be pleased, and that's the reality--unless we create a utopia, which only appears in books and fairy tales. So when will this ridiculous nonsense end? Hopefully in due time--or maybe we should just revert back to being a communist country in order to avoid such occurrences--hmmm, maybe not, it;s just a thought; i guess you could say i'm a liberal who slightly leans to the left.

On the bright side, we are currently providing great entertainment for others to view on their television sets since Thailand has transformed itself into a one big reality show--by being an utter disgrace to diplomacy and civility. If taksin cares so much for Thailand's well-being, shouldn't he just back off and leave our country alone, after shoving his hand too deep into the cookie jar, one too many times? Once this megalomaniac backs off (including his puppets) I believe this nation will subside into a more peaceful and civilized one in due time through patience. People who are standing their ground as a red or yellow are only absurd and simple minded folk who should be incarcerated for any wrongful actions they have committed.

If not, then wait for another election to come around. The US manages to do so without any blatant protesting, nor do the people need to resort to violence. People need to use their minds a bit more than their emotions—diplomacy, diplomacy. Anyhow, my thoughts are generalized, but this is how I generally feel about the situation at hand. And to be honest, i really don't care anymore I’m fed up with this buffet of bad politics, i shame both reds and yellows...can’t we just get along despite our differing political views? I have to admit that the subject about politics is not my forte; this is why I stick to being a musician. But nothing irks me more than having to sit in traffic, aimlessly looking at another car in front of me for 3 hours or more because a group(s) of people are behaving like stubborn children that needs a good whipping--until both ass cheeks turn purple and a beautiful crimson red. This is a New Year…oh people, people--oh dear people (sigh); come on, at least pick another day to protest, have some decency for god’s sake, stop raining on my parade…I’m sick of these persistent reds and yellows…just go home and be with family and friends…it’s a New Year, grab a beer, smoke a joint, commit sodomy, or buy a surplus of ostrich egg warmers—do whatever the heart desires and stop this inconsequential protesting that has and stop
