Tens of thousands of them. They are so beautiful to see. They bring back Spring with them and show so much interesting examples of collective harmony. Here is a picture I have taken of them last Saturday. And you can also watch two little movies I took of them in my videos section. Here is also a small poem from the French Canadian author, Pierre Chatillon, about the snow geese leaving for the North. I have tried to translate it, while keeping its poetic intent, in the text just below it. LES OIES BLANCHES Quand le soleil, comme un chasseur, tapi sous l’horizon, se fut dressé avec son fusil rouge, la neige ouvrant d’immenses ailes s’envola pour toujours vers le nord et ce fut le printemps.
