For over 40 years and three generations (all started by Grandma Lydia) we've been dedicated to getting you the latest, in-style scrubs and medical uniforms at the best value. In 1971 our privately held family company opened its doors with two medical retail locations in Grand Rapids. Seeing the potential for corporate wear and hospitality apparel, we started another division in 1988 called the Uniform Warehouse.
Today the Professional Uniforms headquarters is located in Grand Rapids, MI in a 100,000 square foot building. Over 140 dedicated staff members including customer service reps, designers, seamstresses, buyers, website gurus, warehouse personnel and more are all focused on getting your order right.
Order from us 24 Hours a day @ www.Lydiasuniforms.com or call us at 1.800.942.3378. Place your order by 4:00pm EST Mon-Fri and all in-stock non-embroidered items will ship SAME day!
my favorite nursing shoes are my sketchers because they are white, and very light. they provide comfort for my feet because of standing for a long period of time! shoes are very important to nurses!
I required my nurses to wear the same uniform, except the nuns and sisters, who were allowed to wear their habits. And the uniforms, I must admit were extremely ugly. It consisted of a gray tweed dress, called a “wrapper,” a gray worsted jacket, a plain white cap, and a short woolen cloak. Over the shoulders was worn a holland scarf on which was embroidered in red the words “Scutari Hospital.” There was no time to fit individual wearers: various sizes were made up and issued as they came in, with unhappy results. Small women got large sizes; tall women got small. Thank you Lydia uniforms for updating my look!
I love my tried and true Dickie's, especially the W line. I ordered a number of pair for my student nursing courses and I love them. They're comfortable enough for the "grunt work" and still looking presentable around my superiors!
Im a unit coordinator @ my hospital and we have 2 wear all black pants with either the shirt black or white including a monogram for the logo of the heart hospital. It defintely starts to wear on my pockets money wise
I'm a student nurse and my school requires that we wear navy blue scrubs until we graduate. The navy blue Dickie's I got from Lydia's are the most comfortable scrubs ever!
I work in an Emergency Room, where they would like us to all wear navy blue and white, however....some of us do not have the funds to go out and buy new uniforms and the hospital does not give any help towards purchasing uniforms. So, it's been a hard thing for some of us to follow.
I work in an assisted living facility as a personal care assistant. We wear whatever we want, prints solids etc. The residents like the prints and i get alot of compliments on my scrubs. I got some new ones for christmas this year and they seem to really like them! thanks lydia's!!!
i work in a hospital, and theres a dress code nurses wear blue and white, ct wears maroon, doctors wear green or black, and so on.. but i work in xray and we can wear any color we want except blue or white. Which annoys me b/c blue is my favoret color. I had to go out and by all new scrubs because all i had was blue. we are allowed to wear prints. our scrubs also are not supposed to be tight or baggy, they have to fit us. the patients like it because they are able to tell who are nurses and what not. I do get comments on my scrubs, saying they are cute from coworkers and patients, and i always tell them where i got them from, which all my scrubs were bought from lydias catalog.
I am happy with your uniforms. You have a wide variety of designs and most importantly for me...The sizes suite a person like me...I'm short but I wear large...In my experience your uniforms are the only uniforms I can buy in petite large. Thank You!!!
