LyinHeärt was formed in December 2002. They became local favs with their loud and fun rock anthems, combined with their over-the-top stage shows as they performed frequently throughout the Eastern Iowa region and the Midwest. This landed them even larger shows such as opening for Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Warrant, Jani Lane of Warrant, Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot and Bret Michaels of Poison. They became a favorite local artist on Iowa’s own KCRR 97.7FM Classic Rock station. In July 2004, LyinHeärt released it’s debut CD titled "Good-Twisted-American-Fun", a 13-song collection of loud, fun anthems, power ballads and songs dedicated to the ever popular "exotic dancers." With an album that was opposite of anything mainstream, LyinHeärt still managed to score positive album reviews in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier newspaper, Eastern Iowa’s CVEA as well as the Iowa Entertainer. The Iowa Entertainer is where LyinHeärt became "Band Of The Month" for the September 2004 issue. On July 5, 2005 a compilation CD from Nu Metal/Versailles Records titled "The Very Best Of Millennium Metal Volumes 1 & 2" was released featuring LyinHeärt’s song "Hate You." This helped spread LyinHeärt to a much larger mass. In 2006 and 2007 LyinHeärt opened for acts such as Faster Pussycat, Bang Tango, Wednesday 13, Dog Fashion Disco and After Forever as they continued to tour throughout the Midwest. In November 2007, LyinHeärt released their much anticipated self-titled album. The CD contains 11 powerful anthemic rock songs and shows the band’s maturity and evolution as they continue their journey. Be on the lookout for LyinHeärt in 2008!
