  • Note from sickbed (delayed). . . .

I must off course start this post with saying how truly sorry I am for canceling shows. The show must always go on I know, but this time I just couldn't stand up, let alone roll those god damn hips.
I had some kind of complete meltdown on Marks&Spencer in Glasgow on one of those very rare days off while on route. For various reasons, various hardships sneaked up on me and I was standing at an isle contemplating life and death and the struggles of being an artist/soul/woman/human being when the overbearingness sneaked up on me like Batman himself. I fell to the floor and so did the raspberries I had in my hand, the troubled breathing lead to some severe lumbago which ment I couldn't move and had to lay straight for a few days. In a valium haze I took a flight back to my loved ones where a strong man cracked my holy spine loose and I was soon able to walk again. Little did I know it was my troubled hip joint that was the problem in the first place, so had to go back to a horizontal mode. My body then decided Easter was the perfect time to let a god damn flu blossom out, so I spent the whole easter praying to God to get better, drinking ginger tea while watching Apocalypse Now wishing nothing more then that I could have been on that stage with you.
I am really sorry for not being able to perform but I will make it up to you as soon as I possibly can, which is probably announced today already.
    Happy late Easter apologies.
Had some unexpected time on my hands so more philosophizing will follow.
    In the meantime:
    Rilke: No feeling is final.
Simone: Don't give people what they want but what they need.
Someone: If you want answers, never ask questions.
    Love always and truly.

PS. Video to Sadness is A Blessing is coming very shortly. From one heart to another.
  • Help Japan Relief Effort - Bid for Lykke Vest

    Dear sisters and brothers.
The tragedy in Japan is a fact and the least we can do is to give what we can.
I would like to pass this custom made vest made by my dear friend Lina Österman, she made it for me for a special concert and it has a special meaning to me 'cause I wore it the first time I played my new songs in front of an audience. It's looking for a new home and owner. Pay what you can and the money will go to the Japanese Red Cross Disaster Relief to help the earthquake and tsunami victims.
Here is the info and link:

    I will be forever grateful.
