Lyndsay Pittman grew up in northwest Oklahoma in the small town of Okeene. She moved there with her parents at age 2 and graduated high school there. Growing up, she became a fan of country music through both sides of her family (though, admittedly, she is a big 80s fan as well). From her mom's side, her papaw would pick up the guitar at the drop of a hat and start playing music from the influences of Hank Williams, Ernest Tubbs, and Buck Owens. He still does that to this day. On her dad's side, she learned gospel music stylings from her grandmother, who has a beautiful soprano voice. Family get togethers usually involve lots of music. The Pittman family is not short on talent. Lyndsay and her brother, Skyler, have been singing in church with their parents since they were very young. They both sang at their high school graduations and you could always find them at any musical event in area. Along with singing, Lyndsay also plays the guitar, saxophone, and clarinet. The desire of Lyndsay's heart is to sing, sing, and sing. She hopes to be able to touch people through her music. She is constantly fine tuning her instrument.
Lyndsay's favorite country music artist is Reba McEntire. She credits her with opening and re-opening her eyes (and ears) to country music. She can remember singing along with songs such as "Fancy" at age 8.
Lyndsay graduated high school in 2000. She attended college for 6 years at the University of Oklahoma receiving her BA in psychology in May 2006. College proved to be a very busy time for her and she didn't spend much time on her music. In her last year at OU, she rediscovered her love for country music. She began singing at the Clinton Country Jamboree in August 2005 and has been a guest performer there many times. She hopes to create a name for herself and her music.
The songs you are hearing were recorded live at the Clinton Country Jamboree.

Hey, I wanted to give you a quick update regarding the battle. After the first week we were in first place but now, after the third week, we have slipped to fourth. We need you now, more than ever as the battle progresses. Here is where you need to go to vote, You can vote ONCE an HOUR:
As a country artist you probably plan to someday record an album in Nashville. What you need to do before then is get to know the people in Nashville you will be working with and check them out long before you spend your money. Remember that if they are not willing to provide you with samples of their work and tell you who their previous customers are then you need to be very suspicious of how they are doing business. Most of the artists I work with are previous customers or I have been recommended to them by another artist I have worked with. I try to put out an UPDATE NEWSLETTER every 2 weeks that tells what I have been up to and what projects I am working on along with short articles about the country music business in Nashville. Subscribe to this UPDATE NEWSLETTER and get to know who I am and what I do. Just send me an E Mail that says SUBSCRIBE and I will add you to my E Mail List.
Here's wishing you the very best with your music in 2007
