Teaching others through poetry, Michigan native Christopher Owens serves his lyrical gumbo as a rhyming motivational speaker with a blend of comedy and consciousness.
Known as ''Truth B. Told,'' Owens has blessed the mic at many venues and slams in the past five years.
Interactive and entertaining, crowds are drawn to his performances, as emotion and energy collide. Poetry reflects life; life shows truth, and Owens rises up to the task to articulate the voice of the voiceless. Industry notables such as Black Ice, Shihan and J Ivy vouch for Owens as someone who holds his own in poetry circles.
Author of "Lyrical Therapy'' – a CD of more than 20 tracks – Owens covers such topics as self-empowerment, accountability, love, social issues and the state of black culture.
