About me:
Lyrics Bar (situated where Arthur's Nightclub used to be) is Dundee's newest and best Live Music venue. We recently underwent a major refurbishment and reopened our doors in March 2007. Lyrics boasts around a 300 person capacity making it an ideal venue for live bands, while there is also a smaller lounge through the back which can cater for around 80 people. Since reopening it has played host to many excellent Dundee cover bands such as Headroom, Crawler, General Franco, Ringer, Huge Mouse and many more (music provided between sets by our resident Disc Jockey (Dj Hopper). Lyrics has also provided the venue for fabulous tribute bands such as Abba, Madness and The Four Tops.
The Mirage Function suite is also available for all types of functions. Please contact the venue on 01382 221061 for further details and bookings.
Lyrics are now doing original band nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays to help promote and show off Dundee's original band talent. There have been a few band nights in recent weeks which have proved very popular so this will now become a regular fixture. As with cover bands Dundee has such an array of talent on the original's scene with bands such as Limber, Peski Kings, Indianapolis, Intro/FadeOut and many many more. We are also hoping to attract bands from out of town.
