Interests

  • General

My list of interests are pretty varied. Everything from Music to sitting down to read a good book. I've always been a political individual, and hopefully I can someday tie that in to my passion for music. Who knows, maybe I can even sit down and write a thought provoking book about the power of music one day.

I enjoy gaming, but not so much anymore. The most you will find me playing is maybe the occasional Guitar Hero song. The rest is usally PC shooters or Games from the Nintendo 64 and earlier.

I'm definitely a closet nerd. I've been poking around with computers since I was three. I have been runing Linux since I was 13. It is what I do when I want to get away from everything, the whole getting immersed behind a Computer Monitor thing.

  • Music

Anything, Everything, And more. My favourites change, But one thing always holds true, I love all good music. As mentioned above, Rock is where my heart lies, but I love nothing more than to venture out into other music, Almost anything sounds good to me, hence why I like almost anything. I hate judging stuff by genre's, So I really don't follow them at all. To me, music is either good or bad, and most of it is good.
  • Movies

Movies that either Make you think, Or make you laugh, if it makes you do both, then it is awesome. If I walk away from one in a deep state of thought about life, then it was great. I'm really into dark comedies at the moment, but I love romantic comedies too. Some of my personal favourites are as follows: Sweeney Todd; Reign Over Me; The Shawshank Redemption; City of God; The Butterfly Effect; and The Pursuit of Happyness...
  • Television

Television is usually one of the last things I do before heading to sleep. Among the top of the list is House, Star Trek, MASH, Metalocalypse, Family Guy, and whatever News Channel happens to strike my fancy at the time.

  • Books

Unlike most of the morons on MySpace, I love to read. Books are a great source of knowledge, and as clichéd as it may sound, Knowledge is power.

    Some of my Favourites are:
    • To Kill a Mocking Bird
    • The Sandman Series
    • Misc Star Trek..Star Wars Novels
    • The Fair Tax Book
    • Crime and Punishment
  • Heroes

Jessica, Judas Iscariot, My friends, and myself--for choosing to live for myself, and be an individual.

About me:

I'm not much on talking about myself, let alone posting shit about me up on the internet, but I suppose I could start with a bit of info on how you can get in touch with me:

..Contact:..
E-Mail: lysdestic@gmail.com
MSN: severed@gamingforums.com
AOL: severedteen
Yahoo: ff_severed

Anyway, I guess I should commence with the about me stuff. I was the bassist for a band known as Imperative Therapy, formerly Totemsoul. It was fun I suppose and the music was great, but I wouldn't say no to experimenting with some heavier music. Something more along the lines of Metalcore would be awesome. Music is my passion and it is what I plan to do with my life. It is my opinion that with the power of music you can do so many things, and I want to use music to make a change in the world. Besides making delightful music, playing bass means that I can make the ladies shake with two fingers, and that is fucking awesome.

My life is boring, It's college, a mediocre band, and doing computer shit. With that being said, however, I do have a nice small group of friends that are fun to be around. Let's be honest though, I don't get to have time with friends being in college now. Ugh, whatever. I'd probably just piss them off anyway.

Politically I consider myself a Libertarian, not only in politics, bus also as a way of life, "Live and Let live is somewhat of a motto for me, and it is what I stand by in life. I am so open minded that my brains sometimes seem to hang out of the back of my skull. It is a sad fact though, sometimes it seems I am the only one who gives a shit. Apparently, my generation is very apathetic and they show little care for anything but themselves. I refuse to become that selfish, People are fucking stupid.

Religiously I am an atheist. God is a lie, and people are sheep that need to depend on the idea of a god.

I like to think that even though I make jokes at the expense of other people that I have an open mind. Even if you hear or see me mocking your god, I really do respect your beliefs. They just aren't my thing. What are our beliefs good for if we can't laugh at them?

I know that I am different from most people out there today. In fact, I take pride in this. I know that I don't follow my generations subconscious acceptance of everything they are force fed throughout there life. Ignorance is Bliss for them. I may not be blissful, but I'm proud that I am not ignorant to everything around me. That thought alone makes me happy. I know that I have the power to change things in the world by simply using my voice and my instrument and I refuse to just lie back and allow the world to go to a proverbial hell by it's own choice...

I can change things, and Music will be my weapon.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm usally shy when I first meet people, but I have this incessant habit of seeing the beauty in everyone, so that will probably be my downfall. Once I actually sit down and get to know someone, I come to enjoy them, despite whatever obvious flaws they may have.

Anyway, as a musician I would obviously love to meet other musicians -- as long as they don't feel the need for a guitar solo in every song, think that because they can play a scale at "200 who gives a piss BPM" that they are a "shredder", or limit themselves and their playing to one particular genre.

When it comes to everyone else, I would have to say anyone who isn't a moron, enjoys an intellectual chat, can be open-minded, and isn't forceful with their opinions.

Nahh, all three cost serious cash...we'll they are supposed to anyway. I took the test under the 220-301/2 objectives which retired Dec 31 of last year. I'll send you a message when I finish the collection.
  • Mar 24 2009 6:11 PM

Thanks! For the A+ I would just use the TestOut software (1 or 2 isos) and complete that program first off, then skim over the A+ guide by Sybex (you can d/l in a pdf) and then use an exam simulator, pass4sure is one people are experiencing a lot of success with. Just make sure all of the stuff is for the new exams and not the old exams that I took. I used TestOut and Sybex as well as some other test generator and I made a 900/900 on the S+. TestOut first, Sybex second, then take practice exams until you make a 100 on them. I can give you RS links to the software but you will probably be better off with torrenting. Good luck man.

I can work around that, I'm pretty sure I can, at least. The job on the table right now is a printer that's not communicating and an e-mail client that's gone nuts.
