Hey Lys, Was wondering if you knew what time you were going on... have another engagement that evening but would love to try to catch your show. Wishing you well.
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Lys! Sincere apologies for missing the dream gig in Brooklyn. I was leaving for France a couple of days later and was offered at the last minute to cover a shift at the bar. It was an extra couple of bills that I just couldn't turn down. Hope the show was great!!! France was AMAZING!!!
Lys! again im so sorry i missed your set. i really wanted to be there for your set. i will try to make it to your upcoming shows. im really enjoying the album you gave me. i must say i haven't heard something like this in a very long time. i really love the delicateness of your arrangements. very beautiful. there's something in your voice that's very nostalgic. true magic. please keep in touch. jd
Please check out our new music video about the "Vampire Bankers". The guy who directed Madonna's first video directed this, too. We think it's a pretty funny tune and vid. Thanks for being our friend!
did not go to the Beacon show because once I got over the initail panic attack of hearing it was happening, the show was already over. I'm thinkin' hard about Waterbury or Radio City. My question is, if I die during the show, should I be cremated, or just have them melt me down for fuel to power Lenny's tour bus?
