m1:35 hails from Grenada, MS. A place with no hopeful outlook on music. The beginning of this musical endeavor was limited to demo cassettes that were never released to an audience. After some time away and making new contacts and gaining musical ideas in college, m1:35 finally began to emerge. Assimilation Through Arms, the first cd from the project, was an amalgamation of electronica, electro, classical, industrial, and ambient music. The combination of string instruments complementing dirty industrial and electronic beats became a signature sound and stuck. Only a year after the completion of the first cd, Freight Train Rivalry was released. This follow-up album took m1:35's signature sound even further and expanded on the ambient qualities of the first cd. With this release, m1:35 had decided to call it quits and move on to other things. It didn't last long, though. A little less than a year later, 17 ambient tracks had been recorded for a third release. Sadly, all the data was lost in a computer crash. m1:35 left music for two years after the upset.
Then, in late 2008, inspiration struck again. Work on a new cd based on Dante's Inferno began. In the downtime of this project, other music was being produced much closer to the older sound of m1:35 with an emphasis on electro beats. Inferno was put off as a release that needed no filler, and m1:35 concentrated on his old style once again. Nearing the completion of this third album, both of the original albums were rereleased in physical form as they had been previously available as free downloads. Freight Train Rivalry then took on the new name of The End of Times. Now, m1:35 prepares to release his new music on the world in the form of Beautiful Lies. Little has been heard of the new album, but it has received great praise from those on the inside. Beautiful Lies will be a return to form and put m1:35's stamp on the musical world. That little town in Mississippi now begins to see some hope for music to come.
