Lucid Communication and [ m2c] are the alter egos of Jacob Schere. A
self styled Freewalking Image Gathering Expressionista he is known for
his photographic discovery of unnoticed beauty in the everyday world. Whether its Tokyo, NYC or Paris, Jacob's photographs reveal beauty in the haunted concrete fluorescent madhouse that is the modern city.

Jacob's fashion venture M2C [More to Come] held a gallery debut
in Tokyo called "Shadows and Fog." From this first show, M2C's
striking clothing designs quickly found their way to
high end boutiques in NYC, Tokyo, Miami, and South Beach. In 2005 Schere, in
collaboration with Miami Hiphoper Brimstone127 and NYC producer Jerry
Kolber, began working with legendary hip-hop artist KRS-One on an
untitled documentary about KRS-One's philosophy, life and work. 2006
saw Schere's work reach even farther corners of the world as he was
published in France, America, Japan, and Spain. The future promises to be many
years of artistic and personal growth for Jacob and his photography.

Hey Jacob! I hope you are doing well and enjoying the season. It has been a cool and rainy summer here in CO - highly unusual! Also enjoying the pix you post on FB...
Wow! This has been a very busy and productive spring and summer for me, and I have had very little time for real or internet social networking. I have been involved playing bass in a band and composing new loop-based music using Acid Pro software - and the music activity has been richly exciting and rewarding for me. On the art front I will soon have a number of images published in the journal Cybernetics and Human Knowing, and just learned that 2 of my microphotos have been selected as finalists in the 2009 Nikon Small World microphotography competition. Last Tuesday June 19th I was part of the event “Subcutáneo, actions under the city’s skin” with my performance called PING SPLASH at vitrine’s subway station Pino Suárez in Mexico City.
The piece consisted in bouncing a rubber ball soaked with paint for about 6-7 hours. Every time I launched the ball I screamed but the sound was generated from my stomach giving strength to the launch. The concept was to bring my body into a physical and mental extreme with a repetitive action for a long period and the goal was paint all over the vitrine’s walls and windows with the results of random rebounds and splashed paint in every pitch.
