Bio
Charmed by Breton and Irish rhythms, the musicians of the group M3 use the rhythms as a basis to create their own compositions. A juicy rhythm section (Martin Vejvoda on guitar and Jakub Severin on cajon) forms a solid framework for the richly ornamented melodies of an Irish flute (Michael Komárek). The improvisation skills of saxophonist Helena Marková add the spice that puts the finishing touches to the characteristic sound of the band. M3 approach the music which comes from foreign lands with respect and humbleness. Instead of playing traditional tunes unimaginatively and forcibly over and over, they are looking for their own way. In addition to concerts and festivals, they also play at traditional Breton style feasts (fest noz) and cooperate with dance group Rond led by Mikuláš Bryan, who has his own Breton music related show on Radio Ethno.
