Not really a band, more like music I create or am/have been involved with. When I play music with others and am motivated to share it, here is a place to find it.
Influences
I'm usually under them.
Steely Dan, NIN, Zaum, Body Count, Jonathan Goldman, Scott Kinsey, Kirk Covington, Danny Carey, Scott Henderson, Paul Simon, Cevin Key, Keith Carlock, Skinny Puppy, James Taylor, Pink Floyd, Tool, Drunvalo Melchizedek, Pigface, El-P, Wu Tang Clan, Aesop Rock, Pantera, the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, Download, Dennis Chambers, Orbital, Debussy, Illogic, Vida Blue, Ministry, Vivaldi, and most of the people I have played with.
Sounds Like
Like Sounds, of course. I like to play the drums. I have played drums since I was tall enough to sit atop the throne.
My setup consists of parts from several kits to get the sound I like.
I use: 8" 10" & 12" Mapex V-Series Toms, 13" Pearl Tom, a 1969 Ludwig Snare, 22" Pearl Export Bass Drum. 20" Zildjian K Custom Dry Ride - Divine, 14" Zildjian Hi Hat, 16" A Custom Fast Crash and 10" Splash, 16" and 17" Sabian AA and AAXplosion crashes, with a 17" Tosco China I am rather fond of. The heads are Emperor Clear on the batter, and Ambassadors on the resonant. Remo Vintage Emperor on the snare, while the bass drum is an Aquarian Super Kick I & Regulator. I use a Pearl Eliminator Double bass drum pedal, and know it to be a wonderfully engineered piece of machinery.
Most of my recording consists of the following: two AKG C1000S mics connected Mogami & positioned to capture stereo drums, a modified bass drum mic direct into a Fostex MR8HD. The individual tracks are then transferred to the PC and edited, if I feel like ruining them : )
I've created this page to post works in progress, experiments, collaborations with guests, and other artistic endeavors that I'll try not to limit to music. Polished recordings will make their way here as quality and time allow.
Thanks for looking, hope you heard.
Flame crate cram tildge, clean jerk ambition, lemonade stand rendition. It was a clear refresher to be able to assemble with yi last month. Much needed, as much as Nakamura might need a dolla fi the vendin machine.
I'm excited to be able to check out your music's future advancement toward perfection. Keep me updated. Next time I come home vapors will be had. Oh yeah, tell William Webster that I said "Hi" as well & I hope he is still kicking ass.

Hey Matt,
It's been a long time. How have you been? I miss playing with you, practicing and smoking, and what not. (not to mention the philosophical conversations!) We should get together immediately for another gig in Binghamton. There is a slight chance that I can arrange a show in Baltimore. Do you think you can make it? Let's keep in touch. Very best..
