   May 4th's Blurbs
About me:
The May 4th Task Force was founded by Kent State students and victims of the May 4 shootings. Alan Canfora, Robbie Stamps, and Dean Kahler were three of the charter members. The Task Force felt that the truth about what happened in May of 1970 had yet to be told and that the lessons to be learned from the tragedy should be part of a continuous and living history. Since 1975 it has been the purpose of the M4TF to raise the level of awareness of students, faculty and the general public about the May 1970 shootings and the history of subsequent related events.
Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone interested in May 4th. For everyone who wants to attend a May 4th Task Force meeting, we get together every Thursday at 7:00pm in the May 4th Resource Room of the Kent State University Library.

Went to show the Visitors Center location to my in-laws and found a lot of work done since May 4 less than 2 weeks ago!

The biggest progress is the installation of the new door - most likely will be used for an Emergency Exit Door in the 4th bay of windows (closest to the memorial).

Also new (I think) are security lights in case of power outage.

Round back is the most interesting addition. A new concreate walkway leads to a revamped back door entrance to the ground floor. The interior hallway is good. It's wide and not much else to write about. But I think this walkway poped out of nowhere. I knew that a foot was to be added to a "bullpen" area with dumpsters - but did not know about the walkway. A little disturbed about the addition without consultation. I probably won't be the only one....

Hi!
We've just put an acustic version of our song "The Tragedy of Jeffry Miller" to our music player.
Please check it out.
It's on of the songs that we will record for our first EP called "Civil War".

Thanks for the add! Please tell Mr. Canfora we appreciate his ongoing efforts to finally unearth the truth about May 4, 1970 - for the survivors like himself, the next generation of students attempting to express themselves without worrying about a government gunning them down, and finally, for Allison, Jeff, Sandy, and Bill.

Yours,
Vince

Remember Kent State and never forget. I was almost two when the shooting happened. But as a former student I will never forget! Today is the day to remember.
