I’m Matthew Ryan & currently I’m 19. My future is a Rubik cube; life waits for me to solve its puzzle.

As the sands of time fall in perpetual bliss onto us they erode away our exterior; I am a shell of the former built from the past and reinforced with the knowledge of who I am. Continual growth adds on to the shell but as the sand continues to fall so shall my shell be forever in metamorphous.

We are all distinct through our varying personalities but we are all the same in that we are living beings. Our personality is who we are but it does not define what we will become nor does it dictate the choices that we will make. Each choice opens up a path; some are familiar but others foreign and unknown. Live today as if it is your last day for tomorrow is not guaranteed but do so responsibly. For while tomorrow is not promised, if it comes we must live with the consequences of our past actions. It’s not about being the next big thing but rather staying grounded in remembrance of who you are as a person and in relation to your morals alongside your beliefs.

Love is just another word, but it cannot be defined in its quintessential form for only those who experience it know true love. Controlling, repressing, and restraining love is not possible. Our chemistry cannot be daunted by legality and frivolous terms. Rather love is only faced with hurdles that can only be conquered when the citizens of the world come together.

Thinking for oneself is the first step in knowing who you are. Listen to others but remember to take everything with a grain of sand for as time continues on it will open our ears to the world around us. Intelligence is a skill that must be acquired through good genes or practice. Do not dull your mind with matters that are unimportant to you, for your intelligence is a thing only for yourself, shape and hone it how you want it. Conformity will most likely always exist and it is the recognition of this that one can take the steps to become ones own person rather than the person others want you to become.

Interaction with one another is the intelligence I seek. For me social networking is one of the greatest resources available. Meeting strangers that become friends down the road of life has had such a profound impact on the way that I live my life. Don’t be scared of talking to others for in our life we only have those around us that we surround ourselves with. Our friends are the family of our future. Let the sand fall around you for time are finite; tick tock tick tock time is ticking away.
