  • Bio

Originally from the border city of El Paso, Miguel Briones made the jump from frontman of local El Paso favorite Aisling to unknown singer/songwriter in Austin in 2007. The choice wasn't a hard one for him he says, even though the band had just finished recording with producer Steve Kravac(Blink 182, Tsunami Bomb, Pepper) and were being sought after by several independent and major record labels. His reason for turning down the coveted opportunity was he wanted to desperatly find his own voice and style that truly represented him as a musician. Staying true to his roots, Miguel writes songs that combine his love and frustration for the city he left behind as well as life experiences and encounters that everyone can relate to. M.A.B. has shared the stage with the likes of Dredge, Codeseven, Strata, B-Real of Cypress Hill, The Panic Division, The Bleeding Alarm, and most recently for Everclear at The House of Blues to a nearly sold out crowd of 1,300. He can be seen playing in Austin and surrounding cities with his band backing him or playing a solo acoustic set.
