    “Sometimes it hits you, like a blow to the face” warns Richard Rice, part lippy kid, part knowing conveyor, and he’s right too. Cos when it doesn’t it doesn’t, but when it does, you just know. Mabel Love are four young men from Sheffield currently causing a stir. Shaped by the city that made them for sure, but their musical outlook is much wider than that. Shades of Bunnymen, Nick Cave and flag-waving era U2 combine to sinister, moody effect; at once intriguing and arresting the listener.
