About Mabel McGee and Pennsylvania Slim

MABEL McGEE and PENNSYLVANIA SLIM (SPRING 08) Mabel McGee and Pennsylvania Slim are the monikers of Willow Scrivner and David Bavas in their alt-country-noir collaboration due out in spring 2008. Kevin Wood recorded the album and plays lap steel and guitar, bringing a Daniel Lanois-like sound to the mix, as well as a country twang. Willow, Kevin, and David met five years ago in a Seattle apartment building as next-door neighbors, and after some late nights with three guitars and a bottle of bourbon, the collaboration of Mabel McGee and Pennsylvania Slim was born. The result is a haunting record of sin, redemption, and classic country themes.
