Mac II Recordings was founded in 1996 after the well known record shop, De-Underground Records, IN Forest Gate EAST LONDON STOPPED TRADING.
DJ Randall, Coolhand Flex, Uncle 22, Mikey Dread (label manager), Every Dj AND many OF THE Promoters in the Drum & bass scene passed through the shop. WE played pool in the basement, HAD THE studio in the back of the shop were most of the tracks were made... Big up for the Love Chaps!!!...
DJ Randall & Coolhand Flex formed Mac II Records to keep that old vibe they had collaborating with various artists at the time. Artists like A Sides, Rising Sun and Uncle 22. THIS set the way for things to come. A SHARED ETHOS.
Mac II has released loads of fresh tunes our discography and in the play lists of top DJ'S.
The sound of Mac II is versatile and in-tune with what we put out through De Underground record shop. It is deeply influenced by sounds from the early nineties and we continually strive to educate people in a world where there is so much watered down music.
Randall has helped out many up and coming artists over the years and strongly believes in pushing new and exciting artists..
