26-year-old odd chap, working on year four of my marriage, working as a customer service representative on the phones AGAIN, still with dreams of teaching someday -- even if it ends up being highschool math, instead of college philosophy -- into all sorts of strange things like disc golf and hyperspatial Platonic and Archimedean solids. Pretty laid-back most of the time, but with quite a temper and an almost irreparable superiority complex. Christian by (and with -- thank you, John Calvin) choice.
I think this is as good a place as any to work out, for my own benefit, what books I'm gonna read next... so: [FINALLY UPDATED 9 JAN 09]

You Should Rule Jupiter
Huge and hot, Jupiter is a quickly turning planet with short days and intense gravity.
You are perfect to rule Jupiter, because you are both dominant and kind.
You have great strength and confidence, but you never abuse your power.
You are always right. Even if you make mistakes, you compensate for them... before anyone knows it.
Headstrong and ambitious, you always have a goal in mind. You are optimistic and believe thing things will always work out.
Yeah I am still confused what grade I am in, it probably scarred me for life. I can't say I remember the greater than sign as a cookie eater, but that does sound like something I would say. Yeah the shark sign was always a mystery. I remember it not only had a shark switch but, as I recall, a beer tap. I don't get to watch too much tv these days, but I've heard firefly is awesome. I tend to like Abrams directed tv shows (watched all seasons of alias on dvd) so I bet i would like it. I remember sleeping over your house one night and watching a movie. The movie became "not suitable for kids" and your parents made us go to bed. But I watched the rest of the movie from the crack in the open bedroom door. I think I got scared from watching that movie. I was bad.
So do you remember the playmobil rescue chopper? That science kit you had that made glow in the dark water? That beach your mom took us to that had that sign about sharks? "The Eleventh Hour." My ALF underwear. Rappin Rabbit. Your keyboard that had really cool sound effects? And you thought I wouldn't remember anything! By the way, I love Douglas Adams.
Nope, I couldn't, so I went and clicked on everybody on IMDb's Zorro list so they'd show up purple in the ST lists (I know, cheating)... there are a few who did both shows, but I bet you're talking about J.G. Hertzler (who was in the last three ST series, with lots of DS9 eps) and Duncan Regehr, who was in 3 DS9 eps and one TNG. James Horan was in everything from TNG on at least once, but his part in Zorro was a lot smaller! Wow, now I want to watch them all over again, especially Zorro. Someday I'm going to have to spring for some seasons of Star Trek.... My brother gave me the latest collection ("Captain's Log") for Christmas, so at least now I have a few episodes to show my Chinese friends who've never even heard of Star Trek!
Liam the philosopher-how is life man?? I see you have moved far from Huntington-good for you :) Hope things are going great, drop me a line when you get a chance!
Brother! I just found out that I have Scot blood in my veins! My great great grandmother's maiden name was McLeod! It doesn't get much more Scottish than that ;)
