Władysław Teodor "W.T." Benda [1873-1948] was a famous Polish painter, illustrator, and designer (also mask maker and costume designer). He also wrote a book, Masks (Watson-Guptill, 1944), a study of his own designs and unique construction techniques.
The son of musician Jan Szymon Benda, and a nephew of the actress Helena Modrzejewska (aka Modejska). Benda studied art at the Krakow College of Technology and Art in Poland and at the School of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. In 1902 he moved to US.

Ce marcheur/auto-stoppeur infatigable (il fait toutes ses tournées en auto-stop) propose une performance à la voix et au souffle, brute, poétique, voguant entre silence, frottements, beatbox et masse sonore intense, laissant une part de choix à l'improvisation.

Antoni Cierplikowski"Antoine" [1884-1976] - a famous Polish hairdesser of international repute. He was the first who created the short hair-styles for women called "garcone" (the first haircut was for an actress Eve Lavalliere in 1909). Among his clients were the most rich and famous people, actors of those time in USA, Britain and France: Sarah Bernhardt, Josephine Baker, Édith Piaf, Brigitte Bardot... etc. He also designed styles for MGM. Was a friend of Xawery Dunikowski and Jean Cocteau...
