Harrow!! Well I'm Mach-1 AKA Shaun Mac - Formerly a member of The Loose Screwz a breaks and beats trio from Perth, Western Australia, reknowned for our sometimes lunatic and debaucherous onstage antics and most importantly throwing down their hard edged beats.
I have been doing the rounds for a couple years now playing at various clubs/club nights around Perth/WA including the Ambar, Metro City, Capitol, Heat, The Deen, Shape Bar & Bar Open, for various nights like OneAm, Destination?, Breakaway, Godskitchen, and Loaded Dice New Years Rollout just to name a few.
Recently I have been lucky enough to tour the UK playing gigs in London on the DimSum Nights including the inaugaral DimSum / Passenger Records Boat Party supporting some of the biggest names in breaks and electro, and also a couple of tours to the East Coast playing in Brisbane and Melbourne at clubs including Roxanne Palour and Revolver.
My sound can only be defined as a genre crossing mish mash of tech infused breakbeats. Depending on the night I have been known to play a set of throbbing techno or maybe even throw down some hard edged breakbeats... choose your adventure :P
Also a part time promoter, I have been involved in putting on a successful tour to the SouthWest of Western Australia called the Point Break Tour - which incorporated 6 DJ's and an MC otherwise known as the "Ex-Presidents".
Recently I have joined forces with one of the Perth's best brokenbeat producers, Lo-Key Fu, to form DimSum Events Perth - which is bringing home the DimSum party vibes created by our partners in crime in the UK to our home town Perth. The DimSum: Enter the DimSum Launch Party is due to take off on the 27th March @ Shape Bar 237 Hay St East Perth. At our nights you will hear a variety of the finest beats layed down including anything from hard edged breaks to tech'd out throbbing beats.
If you are interested at playing a DimSum night in Perth please send through your details to Perth@dimsumevents.com including your name, dj name, contact details and genre - and also importantly a URL to your mix - must be no longer than 45mins. We are looking for local and international artists so please hit us up or come down and say "hai" and support our nights!!

Erm, there's a mix on the website www. dimsumfun. net called Heart of Darkness which is kinda tech-funk type stuff and tech breaks. Been needing to do a mix but have only one CDJ making it fairly difficult.
Yeah everything is sorted. I get back on the 2nd of Feb and then everything else is a bit up in the air as we have to wait for visas. We're heading over to Melbs and stuff but that's not booked yet.
Hi
Latest massive release on iBreaks BASS
Here we have the 5th issue of iBreaks Bass, welcoming onboard to MKM & GBX with this their first release under the iBreaks group…. And what a package…!! Surely this is the biggest, bassier, heavier, dancier release on the label so far with 2 ultra-large-full-fat enormous bass rollers.
“I Don’t think So” could prove one of the biggest tracks of 2008, and is one of those straight to the point full on Breakbeat mayhem, with no time to rest and just huge elements loaded with a ridiculous amount of energy and power. This track scared the hell out of us the first time we played it loud after being offered to us from the Brazilian duo… is heavy!!!
“Xtra Xtra” is by no means the little brother of “I Don’t Think So”. The energy levels are also well up to the top, although this time with a bit of a techier approach to the huge amounts of sub bass…
As a whole what we believe is the biggest release under the label, and one of the most powerful on iBreaks over all..
General Midi: Loving This.... Proper Fuckin Breakbeat!!
Far Too Loud: Big Tunes, I Dont Think So Gettin Full Support from us!!
Available @ Beatport, Breakbeatonline, Juno, Trackitdown and others...
Check them out on www. ibreaks. co. uk

"Elite Force’s eclectic, but always pounding, U&A Recordings lets fly another belting remix package with the allusive Zodiac Cartel once again turning up and running away with the show. His mix of ‘Jack the Joint’ is one hell of a filthy, groovin’ monster, which is how stomping, head down and ankle deep in mud would sound if it were a noise instead of a scenario…hmm... Ok, also Deepgroove turn in another nice version which is a little less sludgy, but pleasing all the same, and we also have a cut from Introspective who sit somewhere in the middle, with their pulsating big bassline interpretation.
