Hakkımda: Sadly, MacHenry's has closed it's doors permanently. The management and staff wish to thank everyone who supported the bar over it's five-year run. Here's hoping a comparable live-music venue will soon fill the void this brings to the Fort Worth music scene.

Man, I would begin by saying thanks for the ADD but then the reason I am here is that I read the notice on Music and Arts a GOGO and realized that the best bar that I have been to in my 60 years of existence is closing. I sincerely hope it's not for long. I found MacHenrys a totally unique experience and although I live 80 odd miles away I had planned on making the trip time and time again. Beats the hell out of Dallas. I saw David Bullock and 4 way Street there and the quality of the music, and the sound made me realize that the spirit of the HOP was alive and well in MacHenrys. Probably the cleanest bar I have ever been in and everybody seemed like family. I grew up in Fort Worth and played in bars for 10 years there and believe me there was nothing like MacHenrys around in the 70's when I lived there. Had there been, I might have stuck around. I'll close this by saying thanks for the ADD and I hope we talk soon and often.
With heavy hearts we say goodbye to MacHenry's. Not just a bar. Not just a music venue. A true social center. I have only become richer by my associations there. Thanks to John, Ryan, Deanna, Matthew, Becky, Lindsay, Craig, and Nancy for being there for us all these years. I will miss it all.
It's a sad day for 4 Way Street and all of those of us who enjoyed the atmosphere, music, fellowship and staff at MacHenry's Pub. May she ride again! wade johnson/4 way street
Hey gang, catch 4 WAY STREET, DAVID BULLOCK (SPACE OPERA), RUSTY BURNS (POINT BLANK), CHARLIE BASSHAM and a bunch of other great bands at the 5th Annual Trinity Music Festival this Sunday, 10/14 from 11am-the early evening. The concert benefits the North Texas Food Bank (a great cause). Admission is any non-perishable food item (like peanut butter). Located in the far northeast corner of Trinity Park (Ft.Worth) at the band shell stage. Come join the fun! wade johnson/4WS www.4waystreet.vze.com
4 WAY STREET, (the musical tribute to CSN&Y) returns to MACHENRY'S PUB this Friday, September 21st at 9pm. Mac's is our favorite venue because of the great listeners and music lovers that frequent it. It's a great place for musicians to hang and hear some good music on any night. Hope to see a bunch of y'all out there. Wade Johnson/drums 4WS www.4waystreet.vze.com
Hi John and Staff and Musical Regular Crew- thanks for finding me out here in Myspace. I miss your room a lot! It's the best musical hang in Ft. Worth, Texas. Thanks for letting me be part of the cd recording in 2004. It was a great weekend of musical comraderie! I play the cd's regularly to get a dose of musical friends and acquaintances that I miss hearing live on a regular basis.
I haven't visited Mac's since I moved to St. Louis. I'll have to stop by next time I'm in TX. Would love to see some pics of the new place! Best of luck!
