COMIC: Wonder Woman ... The Comic Book Hero - First female superhero admired for her strength, bravery and looks. Not just a sex symbol (though some will dispute that ... Her creator William Marston was an educational consultant (Dr of Psychology) for DC Comics and based Wonder Woman on Women he knew and the Goddess Diana. During WWII womens roles increased in every field and yet they were still being treated 'like good little girls'. Marston also invented the lie detector or polygraph test and as a result of this believed women were more honest and reliable then men and could work faster and more accurately. He championed women's causes for the rest of his life. Marston: "Women definitely emerged from a false, haremlike protection and began taking over men's work. Greatly to their own surprise they discovered that they were potentially as strong as men-in some ways stronger. Women have more emotional power than men, they have greater endurance and more resistance to disease they live longer, and they can endure pain far better. The moment women began doing things to develop their strength, it increased enormously."
The label name Machinery was born in 2002 when after much complaining (translates to upgrading my profanity vocabulary tenfold) about my sewing machine and it's inability to keep up with me, my gorgeous man surprised me one birthday with brand spankin' new Machinery, and the rest as they say ...
This whole designing thing kind of snuck up on me. I always thought that it started around 2002 when my love of designing and sewing met with my first pregnancy and I actually had time to explore my creativity and let it explode!
Turns out looking back through time there are pieces of my life where I always had this monster of a passion lurking in the wings waiting for the right time to pounce out of me!
I am completely self taught and am consistently learning new techniques... All of my garments are made with care and a great deal of pride goes into them, and now thanks to some fashion shows some pretty hot women too!
So to all who have lived with me ... SORRY FOR THE PINS IN THE CARPET !!
MACHINERY will be under the umbrella of Kitty Boo Boo and all clothing that is not specifically for the darker element will be on the Kitty Boo Boo label. Keep watching for some fun and funky kids stuff coming soon

Ooooo sorry! We just assume that unless a competition that people are smart enough to be able to find you on the internet, especially because you're in our top friends. The only companies that have contact details either had advertising, a competition or we couldn't edit the text they sent. We're looking have everything sent in by October first. This time we'll be doing the designing as we go instead of all at once so we'll do a big chunk after that date and hopefully one earlier.
Ohh that's cool, we have to go in there tomorrow and give them some more. Yeah we didn't put any contact details besides the myspace in the magazine to avoid dumb kids making prank calls and such. But if you want our numbers just message us and we'll let you know =) Xo. Holly - IHM
Hey, Glad you liked your copy, the spread does look great! And we're still totally keen to do a give away thing with you in the next issue. How long did it take for yours to get up there? Xo. Holly
I know, it'd be so cool if you could have come down, especially because we'll be at Worn Wild the next day and I have a feeling you'd love that. Well we get the magazines back tomorrow so I'm pretty sure we're going to start selling them on the internet right away! We've got distributors here but up your way we have no idea. We wouldn't want to approach anyone until we had the numbers to back us up anyway you know? Nor do we have any idea of where to approach there. Xoxox. Robin & Holly - IHM
