The guitar sound from U2 had a few drinks with raw overdrive, and then made out with the driving force behind an Aussie rock outfit. A shot of funk was then added to their drink, and groove walked into the bar and shared the cocktail. The Machinery Hill sound was born.

Hailed as ‘Brisbane’s very own sons of rock’ (The Zoo, July 2008), Machinery Hill, named after the infamous grand stand at the Brisbane Exhibition Showgrounds, is a five-piece rock band from Australia. For two years, the band has been knocking out punchy riff-rock at venues throughout Queensland and New South Wales, and has gained countless critical acclaim for their catchy and melodic, yet modern rock sound, as well as their hard hitting, on-stage presence. This last year however, has seen the band working on their debut album, recorded at a number of top level recording studios throughout Australia, including Level 7 in Sydney, Rockinghorse in Byron Bay and Wavelength in Brisbane, and has involved a number of highly reputable and recognised industry producers, consultants and engineers.
Due out late this year, Machinery Hill's first album will show the pure dedication and talent so often seen arising from this music centre of Australia. Their first release, ‘Good Anyway’ July 2009, gives a sneak preview of things to come.
