Mac Jeff started his rap career as "Tha Lezzardman" in 1988 doing local shows in Fairfield and Sac. - - - - - - In 1990, Mac Jeff met rapper "The Mac" (Michael Robinson) at an autograph signing in Fairfield. Impressed with Robinson's style and words, Mac Jeff (originallly known as "Tha Lezzardman") adopted "Mac Jeff" as his performance name. A short time later, Robinson was brutally murdered and Mac Jeff has kept the name as a tribute to the original Vallejo Mac. - - - - - - In 1995, Mac Jeff dropped his first single "Tha Lezzardman" and his second single "Taboo" in 1999 on Taboo Territory Records. In 2003, Mac Jeff appeared in a commercial for the Sacramento Cable Channel 17. The Macjeff.net website was launched in 2004. - - - - - - In 2005, Mac Jeff produced "Tha Lezzardman" animated video and joined the rap group "The Rival Menace" on Sac's Finest Records (along with Hmong rappers Siccness and Supaphly, Filipino rappers Sayso, Potpot, and L.G., and Gangsta rappers Dolla Stack, E., and Nitrouz). - - - - - - Mac Jeff also appeared on the San Francisco talkshow "Stage Fright" twice during Summer 2005. The new Rival Menace album (The Hidden Agenda) hit stores in Fall 2005. - - - - - - - Mac Jeff is currently working on his next album, "Da Pimp, Da Bay, & Da Hustle". - - - - - - - - Mac Jeff sites his influences as Andre Nickatina, Too Short, The Click, NWA, Brotha Lynch Hung, Mac Dre, Mac Mall, Mac Shawn, Rappin 4Tay, and the Geto Boyz. - - - - -
