Aldebaran, (a Tau / a Tauri / Alpha Tauri), is the brightest star in the constellation Taurus and one of the brightest stars in the nighttime sky. Because of its location in the head of Taurus, it has historically been called the Bull's Eye.
Astrologically, Aldebaran is a fortunate star, portending riches and honor.
This star, named "Tascheter" by the Persians, is one of the four "royal stars" of the Persians from around 3000 BC.
In the religion of Stregheria, Aldebaran is a fallen angel and quarter guardian of the eastern gate.
For the Dakotas (a branch of the Native American Sioux tribe), Aldebaran took on a heroic aspect.

Robson says that Aldebaran is one of the four Royal Stars or Watchers of the Heavens. Fixed Stars & Constellations in Astrology (1923) page 119.
The great "red giant", war-like Aldebaran is one of the four "Guardians of Heaven" - sentinels watching over other stars. It formed one of the four royal stars of Persia as "Watcher of the East". These were also called archangel stars; this star Aldebaran was Michael - Military Commander of the Heavenly Host. The others were; Gabriel (Fomalhaut) Watcher of the South; Raphael (Regulus) Watcher of the North; Uriel (Antares) Watcher of the West. At one time they marked the two Equinoxes and two Solstices.
Interestingly enough the name of Michael, the archangel associated with Aldebaran, means "he who is like God". The association of Michael with Aldebaran, a Martial star, is also appropriate as Michael is the archistrategist, the general of God.
Taurus is the Second Sign of the Zodiac, represented by the Bull which is prized for strength and stamina. The Egyptian Horus was the Bull of Heaven and a white bull was sacrificed in Babylonia at the time of the New Year to placate Ramman, the God of Thunder and Lightning. As well as some other cool things, really neat steampunk stuff too but it's so literal of a translation some of these outfits would look better on Inspector Gadget.
I brought back Lord of Light, I'm sorry...I worked so hard at not bending it up or sulleying up the cover with lots of fingerprints but while I was on the couch last night at your place (you sleep-nerd) talking to Tim for hours, I was sitting on all those books and I messed 'em up... I SORRY! haha, ANYWAY! you may have noticed I brought over that Harlan Ellison book...its got that Run for the Stars story I was raving about and A Boy and His Dog is the very last story. I know you've been having a hard time forcing yourself back into reading, I had the same laziness for awhile until I started reading The Beast That Shouted Love At The Heart of the World. It's not such a big commitment when the stories are short and you don't have to become involved in a large piece of work that's the same story...which I think can lead to boredom until you liven up the reading parts of your brain again and then, then it becomes amazing and something I can't stop myself from doing every day at least for 20 minutes but somedays for hours upon hours. My language skills and grammar have gotten way better. Either way I know you'll be wanting to read A Boy and His Dog but honestly, it's the last story for a reason! See if you can use that to power through the stories. Or do whatever you want, I don't care. Just read the book!!

Yeah this is the most progress I've made in my room probably since I got out of my last long relationship a year ago, if she didn't get fed up and start doing things she would get pissed off and act like my mom and make me do it.
I finally don't have kandi and bead containers all over my room, not that I wear it anymore but I found a place to put it, among many other things.
