Singer/Songwriters that were making noise long before my time. Voices and guitars on tapes in my fathers car. Denim. Beards and such. All of this, but especially John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, Don Williams, and Brian Wright. Plus, Robert Duvall in "Tender Mercies."

These songs come from sticky Southern towns and broken hearts. Crowded streets that know no names. Lonely hours in sub-leased apartments with dirty, white walls. Hard living and the long road home. These songs are stories. Some are true, some out of nowhere. They came to me and I wrote them down and asked some friends to help me get them on record. And there is not too much more to say. I think the songs speak for themselves. I hope so, anyway.
This month we mostly have Catie Curtis (with a Richard Thompson cover), Lindsay Fuller and The Cheap Dates (and who amongst us isn't?), Josh Fix with a track from the well-titled album This Town Is Starting To Make Me Angry and the rather lovely Red Rooster.

Hello, after an unfortunate hiatus, the reasons for which are probably best not gone into here, we finally have some new music on the AUK MySpace site.
