About Mac Leaphart

These songs come from sticky Southern towns and broken hearts. Crowded streets that know no names. Lonely hours in sub-leased apartments with dirty, white walls. Hard living and the long road home. These songs are stories. Some are true, some out of nowhere. They came to me and I wrote them down and asked some friends to help me get them on record. And there is not too much more to say. I think the songs speak for themselves. I hope so, anway. I’m on the road, playing any chance I can get, anywhere that will have me. Sometimes Danielle Howle sings with me. I’m also joined by Valorie Miller and Dennis Ware from time to time. Our handle is “The Blackstock Faithful.” Every now and then, I find myself at some dive with my brother Gibbs and my good friend Joe. We hash out country and blues songs as "The Joe Good Band." So, please keep your eyes and ears on. There's a good chance I'm playing somewhere.
