Created in January 2007 after disillusionment playing music they didn't enjoy just to appear trendy and cool, the members of MacLeod decided to go back in time to the music they grew up with. The great classic tracks of the 70s and 80s giants of British Rock.
MacLeod don't play tribute to one particular band but attempt to recreate the feel and sound of the classic live albums of the golden era of Classic Rock.
"Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous" "Rainbow - on Stage" "Whitesnake - Live in the heart of the city" "UFO - Strangers in the night" "Deep Purple - Made in Japan" etc etc
These were the albums that captured the musical soundtrack of an era. Motocycles, Denim ,Leather, Studs and loud guitars, MacLeod take you back to a time when musicians were allowed to play!
Macleod Live
Welcome to the dark & dangerous world of Rock 'n' Fuckin' Roll.
Dog Toffee comp out in September featuring all the raw as fuck material from 1995 - 2001. No not the stuff you produced Ian the integrity of that particular release is still intact!
I went to bed last night, and dreamt I was in a band called Macleod. Had a brew and a bagel this morning, and there it was,BOOMSHANKA!! If it's good enough for Dio, Van halen, and Hendrix, then who am I to argue. The Jock rock revolution, has begun!!
