Influences
Generally under the influence! But heavily influenced by Stockton's Wing and more recently Lunasa (although we didn't realise til we saw them live!). Generally listen to anything.
Sounds Like
No one sounds like Mactullagh Vannin! (except possibly Paitchyn Vannin, but that is probably best left!)
Mactullagh Vannin had their first album in 1986 and it only took them another twenty years for the next one. After a bit of a change to the line up Maccy V as they're known to their friends are going from strength to strength and planning a third album of all new stuff this year. They have loads of gigs planned for 2006, not to mention festivals.
And to think all this comes from a weekly gossip round a kitchen table and copious amounts of wine!
