This Friday Jan 18th at Mogollon will be jazz funksters One The One. The are anchored by drum maestro John Staten of Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. Also sitting in with them is guitar wizard Brian Jordan, also of Karl Denson's band. These guys groove sooo hard and if you like to get down to some serious funk, this show is for you!
Opening up the night will be local reggae champions Summit Dub Squad.

I was helping my friend, Kristie, move from Norfolk, VA to Oakland, CA last week. We were driving a van full of her animals and stuff. It was quite possibly the most horrible experience of my life. Then purely by chance, on day 4 of our trip, we stumbled upon your coffee house. We are both long-time vegans and just assume that no soy milk or pastries will be available for us. Um, needless to say, were were completely blown away when we saw a container of soy milk behind the counter and a pastry case full of vegan danishes, scones, muffins, pecan sticky buns AND a 100% veg menu! OMG! Neither of us could believe it. We thought we died and had gone to heaven. Needless to say, it was the highlight of our horrible trip, and we are still talking about the vegan creamed cheese danishes. I bought a shirt, coffee mug and a bag of beans to remember the heavenly experience. I will go back to Flagstaff just to visit Macy's Coffee House, and maybe to also see that Grand Canyon thing.
