I have had many obsessions over time. Phantom of the Opera, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Series of Unfortunate Events... anything I run into, I obsess about. My POTO obsession is still running strong after nine years going (ran into it when I was six) and I don't think the Tim/Johnny obsession is going to stop until they both stop making movies. (I can't WAIT till Sweeny Todd comes out!... not like I'll be allowed to watch it for quite a few years...) Right now, though, you may not believe it, but my obsession is RENT. Wonderful musical. Beautiful music, great lyrics,and a message we can all get SOMETHING from. It has a very compelling story, and the characters are all rather complex and dear to you after just a short while (especially Angel! *little cartoonish hearts pop up around head* see above... Quizilla thingy). It also speaks out against AIDS and is very open-minded. Based on the musical "La Boheme," RENT is just about the most amazing musical I've ever seen. I suggest it to everyone who has never seen it. Except for little bitty peopleses. NO. Parents, stand by to explain obscure references... (I sound like a critic or something instead of a real person! Um...)

Apart from that, I'm pretty much an abnormal kid. I dislike talking on the phone, shriek at the sight of make-up, and can give one of the scariest grins you've ever seen. I scare my schoolmates most of the time, actually. The ones at the lower levels on the totem pole of school I get along with, but those at same level or higher enjoy bullying me around. As I play the French horn (I'm very nerdly... but good at just about any instrument you put in front of me), I'm a prime suspect for taunting and beatings. Ergo, don't like people. Very people-shy. That's why I prefer emailing and messaging to live people. However, the friendships I actually do form are close and long-lasting ones. I usually get along better with adults and small children than I do with children from my own age group, but this is typically because I'm very mature for my age. I'm not trying to be all braggy- I mean it. I'm one of the only teens out there, I bet, who has the inability to get jealous over the whole "boyfriend/girlfriend" debate that undeniably will pop up. I understand love better than any of them, and this is my favorite quality about myself. I love psychology and often have long discussions with the teachers at my school and parents of other kids in these areas, and they don't feel like they're talking to a little kid. Although incredibly shy and nervous around people, I have a great love for all of mankind, and the philosophy (in the teenage love drama) of "If you're happy, I'm happy", which is rare.I also love children with a passion and someday hope to adopt a Korean child or children. Right now, I'm learning about Korea and its customs and traditions. It's fascinating!!

Of course, not all my life is all peachy keen. (VEGGIETALES!) I was recently diagnosed with a medical condition known as Arnold Chiari Malformation, where the brain is extending past the skull and pinching the spinal cord. This can cause anything from migraine-proportioned headaches, dizzyness, tingling in the extremities, and double vision. It's your brain being affected- anything can happen. I had many surgeries for it, but I constantly need to get another surgery because I produce too much CSF, which is short for Cerebral Spinal Fluid. Basically, my symptoms come back almost full-blown, and I had a shunt put in that drains the CSF out into my abdomen. I'm still recovering from these last few excruciatingly painful months, but I'm hopeful that things will get better soon.

Gee, I think I wrote more than most people do when writing about themselves. Need to know anything more? COULD you know anything more? Wow. Sorry about that. One last thing- I tend to apologize and ramble to an excessive degree.
