So far, we've gotten the following from various people - Sonic Youth. Bauhaus. Blonde Redhead. The Fall. The Velvet Underground. The Ex. Prolapse. Joy Division. Interpol. The Breeders. (you decide.)
i don't remember much these days except that we all had a thing for zucchini fries. and newcastle. first there were two, then we were three. just like an agatha christie novel gone backwards. you know how it is...you bake a cake, you eat a cake. sometimes there's icing. sometimes there's frosting. sometimes there's ganache and sometimes there isn't....cake-like brownies, that is if you happen to have an extra egg. or egg beaters. or egg replacer, if you're vegan. it all depends on what you're craving for.
who are we? we're really not into boba, parakeet marathons or pulling hamstrings, though i do think we have a "thing" for marshmallows, european chocolates, vegetarian chinese cuisine, warm weather, flowy fabrics with print, psychic roundtables, sizzling feta with tomatoes, "things" from trader joe's, and dual-action binder clips. some of us like penguins and dumplings...and some of us are into dr. brown's black cherry soda, tofutti cuties, and "the work" of byron katie. for one reason or another, we all happen to like (the work of) david lynch, errol morris, werner herzog and john waters...and the fall, prolapse, the velvet underground, talking heads, wall of voodoo and the suburban lawns.
so check us out. you might like the way we sound. you might not. it's all good. we won't take it personally. after all, it's not about us. it all depends on what you're craving for.
ps. it's best not to feed us after midnight. (i'm pretty sure of it.)
Hope you're luving this last little bit of summer. Have you been out to The Airliner yet? We've been playing there lately & are really digging that punky East Side vibe. We've got a show there again on the 8th & really want you to come out to see what we do live. Music is always better in person. Rock & Roll!
Thanks for addling us to your MySpace confusion. I can't believe I'm so trendy (years later), but time moves very slowishly in the Leaving Trains world. Falling James
Great now we can post some fliers, just kidding. We have played together before but it would be cool to do it again sometime soon. When we get off our asses and book a night some where we hope you'll join us. Till then. Love, THC
THANX TO YOU FOR HAVING US IN YOUR RECORD RELEASE! WE ARE HAPPY WITH CAKE OR ICE CREAM. EITHER WAY WE ALL GET TO HAVE FUN! BEEN REALLY ENJOYING YER SONGS! THANKS FOR THE CD TOO!
