Mad Art CALL FOR ARTISTS, looking for Indie Bands for 2010! We wanna hear ya! Posted at 8:00 PM Oct 22 view more
Mad Art Gallery is an exciting, alternative gallery and performance space dedicated to creating exhibitions and cultural programs that help cultivate artists as well as art audiences. We present 8-10 group exhibitions each year, along with hosting numerous cultural events. Visit our website www.madart.com. Subscribe to our newsletter http://www.madart.com/eventsexhibitions/publicevents/ and we'll send you information about our upcoming exhibits and events. Mad Art does not share its mailing list.
Who I'd like to meet: We focus on contemporary art from emerging local and regional artists. Mad Art Gallery reviews submissions from artists twice a year. Our panel review process consists of the managing staff plus 3-5 additional members of the art community. We do not schedule individual portfolio reviews. Please review our "Call for Art" (128K PDF) and submit your work. To propose a music, film or theatrical event, please email your proposal to info@madart.com.
Composed and created in a hot attic, somewhere in Reading P.A, during the Summer of 2009. Tortured In Toyland independently produces a series of experimental industrial rock instrumentals.
Many of the instrumental notational concepts were created months before the band embraced the industrial style of music. Those concepts, along with exploration of all the new controls associated with digital music, opened a realm of musical expression and clarity that could only be showcased as instrumentals.
Far from your grand-daddy instrumental radio classics, these tracks wreak of Tortured In Toyland's distinct aroma.
Note: This album is best when served with a plate of charred boar. Get our new independently released CD titled "InstruMentals" only $15.96 + S&H Product
I made my first video slideshow and wanted to share it with you. The musician (Elizabeth Ann Middleton) is one I found through MySpace, and she generously let me use her music to set to my images. Visit her MySpace page here - http://www.myspace.com/pianorama - she's fantastic! :-)
Video documentation of a performance piece by my friend Nate Kassel who rode around on his bike slapping high-fives to people who were trying to hail taxi cabs in NYC. Enjoy!
A rare public showing of the artist’s eclectic mixed media and collage work showcased at www.shawart.com “My paintings are about a whole body of work- the work of my life. They are about color and design, materials and methods, exploration and experimentation. They are about the deep and unseen parts of the individual- they are about the hearts of men.”
