In addition to his musical exploits, songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Randy Riviere is also a wildlife biologist who has slugged it out for years trying to protect/restore remnant landscapes. Riviere has spent much of his career working to integrate our unwavering economic priorities with landscape requirements. This led him to work a great deal with farmers and agriculture. "Agriculture has tremendous potential to integrate what it does with the environment, and most farmers I know - the ones that actually have dirt under their fingernails - care about the land as much as anyone I know" Randy explains. Riviere’s passion and concern for the land often raises its head in Mad Buffalo material.
