WELCOME TO MAD CITY ROCKERS MYSPACE!!!!
Mad City Rockers chose a difficult path totally independent..
and I personally have taken advantage of the crisis of music in order to make the music we love doing a good record.
I do not need anybody who tells me what to do..
the music market has irreparably damaged all the rock scene..
Here Friends for so long have worked together for success and creating a rock opera.Rock is not 'dead.metal more' extreme explores and develops territories unknown to us experiencing new frontiers but we have yet something to say in the way we use to call: Traditional!
Major & indie labels are not interested in producing new bands
Today far as i know is an unnecessary risk given that some discography does not sell ...I gain more money if i only manage the project ..
Alone i have more difficulties, thats for sure, but in these days its easy to meet the end-user without having to ask labels.
Obviously i do not rule out the attempt to give copies to distributors and shops.
But most declare themselves independent and want to only sell Bruce Springsteen and the Stones
I really do not need anyone to tell me what kind of music I produce.
Persevere is the most important thing for a musician and freedom to play music we wants is even more 'important to me!
Since forming in 2006, the style of MCR and lyrics have evolved covering subjects that challenge the socially constructed image of The Great American Slowdown. Black celebration new release reflects their interest in recording songs that stay true to their live performances,as a producer i had a long job for the perfect singer (mark duda) and the perfect guest musician (john Garcia) To put an end of this record of Madcity album that by some miracle anyway. This summer around arizona, colorado, nevada & utah with bacons, pancakes and fried eggs i just realized... damn, that was happening - thank you so much to all of u part of this project. Mark most of all. What a blast and a honor also to have a new song with John Garcia.
MCR its a rock traditional trio. Prepare to be proud of us!!! As we do!! All compositions was originally conceived raw with a long process for reintroducing voice on music originally been written by Angus bidoli.I tried successfully to combines two of the most rock styles of music with heavy rock classic recruting an american singer from New Jersey: Mark Duda.Part of this album was mixed & mastered by top engineers including,Kostadin Kamcev,Max ruscitto,Fa. Michael Haider.

Maurizio "Angus" Bidoli - Lead Guitars
Some people compare his sound to Hendrix , others hear Motorhead, still others Santana or Neil Young. No matter which comparisons Angus evokes the theme is clear: he's a storyteller. Born and raised in italy now hes 50 years old.2008 is the 30 anniversary since he plays his fender. As a manager and producer Angus for me he's an oral storytelling ,with old rock traditions along with its roots music & penchant for literature,he's inspired 70's music. Angus 's lyrics are his primary instrument though i took the decision to arrange songs in english with Mark Duda. He plays with Fingernails & Garcon Fatal.
Mark Duda - Lead Vocals
Storytelling is such a large part of a quality rock'n'roll band. Sometimes, if the musicians & vocalists are good enough, that's perfect to create a good product. Fortunately, The Handful has more than enough. Each tune sucks you in like a good movie or a good book and leaves you in any mood the band wishes to put you in. The Handful remind me of some great story telling bands....

MAD CITY ROCKERS

MCR will never pay you for a review!!! I am Billionaire & i live my life with honour. My name is Manuel Jensa & u are the shit of this life!! We will rock for ever !!!
Millions of people who lives in mega-cities,listen new music leaving behind old traditions. Mark is not only a powerful singer, not so far away from Glenn Danzig & Lynn Turner he have an old rock tradition, Basically he preserve what we call rock. Let's say, i'm a new fan Of Mark Duda & Handful. It was way back in 2006 when i decided to Create this project because rock for me is an old cultural tradition. I hate the new music scene. Who knows, maybe in 10 years we will rock together in drunken revelry and rekindle an age-old tradition… many times a good record has been reminded after 20 years... the new music is old after 3 weeks. So we play rock...We let other people let themselves be carried away by fashion and trends.
Mad City Rockers - Black Celebration A rocking debut (METAL FORGE REVIEW)
The first thing that struck me about Mad City Rockers C.D. when it arrived in the mail was its packaging. The environmentally friendly and innovative packaging really impressed me, and the cover artwork - visually striking. So with Mad City Rockers album ‘Black Celebration’ already making an impact in the visual sense, I could only hope that they would dazzle me in the same fashion in the audio sense. I’ll be damned if they didn’t come pretty damn close to doing just that!
Founded by Italian guitarist Maurizio ‘Angus’ Bidoli (who’s otherwise known within the metal scene as guitarist for Italian thrash act Fingernails) back in 2006, Mad City Rockers soon consolidated their line-up with the addition of vocalist Mark Duda (who’s also vocalist for The Handful) and bassist Manuel Jensa, and with the assistance of two drummers (Valter Sacripanti and Alien Vampires drummer Dario ‘Daryl’ Fioravanti), finally set about recording their debut effort.
Despite the band’s somewhat eclectic line-up, ‘Black Celebration’ is a pretty impressive and convincing slab of good ol’ southern hard rock mixed with traces of stoner rock. The title track ‘Black Celebration’ makes for a great opening track, with Bidoli providing a great AC/DC-like riff groove throughout the song, and a genuinely ripping solo around the tail end. Duda is a great addition to the band’s ranks, with the slight twang on his vocal delivery giving the song a distinct southern groove. The only real flaw to be found is the production. While it’s solid and crisp, the lack of bass and meat in the guitar tones does tend to dampen the impact the song really could have had in the right hands.
Tracks such as ‘I Still Believe’, ‘Fix My Love’, ‘Sarajevo’ and ‘Hard Livin’ Headlines’ help keep the rock flowing throughout the album, while the slower paced ‘The Colour Of A Star’, the blues influenced ‘Set In My Ways’ and ‘Screaming Bloody Murder’ ensures that there’s plenty of variation throughout the album as well.
As an added bonus, former Kyuss/Unida/Hermano vocalist John Garcia adds a bit of extra appeal to the album with his guest appearance on the smouldering ‘Stronger’, which as you would expect is a definite highlight on the album.
Unfortunately, not everything works. The short atmospheric instrumental interlude ‘A Distant Mile’ (written by Fioravanti) and the Jensa penned industrial piece ‘The Enemy Within’ (which precedes the album closer ‘Follow The Sun’) just don’t fit on the album.
Aside from the two misplaced pieces, ‘Black Celebration’ is rocking debut effort for Mad City Rockers, and what I only hope is the first of many releases from the band.

Mad City Rockers Black Celebration Ipernova Recordings 2009
www.myspace.com/madcityrockers
I quattro, recuperata in minima parte alcune peculiarità stoner (penso a Master Of Reality e ultimi Hermano), prediligono muoversi su movenze southern e, in alcuni frangenti, sui territori cari agli AC/DC dell’era Bon Scott.
